Creating and Configuring Greetings

The Greetings property page in a control allows you to create greetings and to select from pre-recorded voice files.

To add a pre-recorded greeting to a control:

1. Select the control button of the desired control to display the Control Properties dialog.

2. Select the Greetings page.

3. Add a phrase to the control by clicking Add Phrase. The Select Phrase dialog is displayed.

4. Double-click desired phrase or click desired phrase and press Add. You may assign multiple phrases to one control.

5. Close the Select Phrase window.

The phrase(s) assigned to the control are displayed in the Greetings property page.

Note: With VBVoice you can also edit and create new VAP phrases and files. See About Greetings for detailed information.

To configure a pre-recorded greeting:

1. Open the Select Phrase dialog.

2. Choose desired .VAP file from the VAP File drop-down list.

3. Select (double-click) the desired phrase(s).

4. Click Close to exit the Select Phrase dialog. Your chosen phrases appear in the Phrase window of the Greetings property page.

5. Click OK to finish phrase assignment for this control.

6. When the main form is displayed, hold the mouse over the control button for one or two seconds to display the greeting.
